SCIENCE BALL TIME...!
Tickets go on sale on tuesday morning, so I need to confirm who wants to come! (i think i pretty much know, but just to make sure....)
Kate and I are organising 3 tables and because i am rather poor at them moment it would be great if you could give either of us $80 as soon as possible (we have to pay for the rest of the table within 7 days).
Also, we have about 5 spare places at the moment so if you know of anyone who is interested, let me know asap!!!

its good to be home and catching up with people again.
especially now that katies home!!!!
i think i will get bored very quickly though. i suppose its a good thing that uni is starting again. not that i am really enthused about starting again.

well, its our final night in Bangkok.
as kate would say, *tear.
i am going to miss this place.
the last few days have been super super busy - we have been making up for lost time.
its been very hot too.
today we went on a tour to the former capital city and came back on a boat on the river. we were the youngest people there by far, which was pretty funny. but our tour guide was awesome.
yesterday we went to the zoo! that was pretty great. oh and we got stopped by some thai girls who wanted to take our photo. heehee.
we also went to this mansion which was far more trouble than it was worth because we didnt want a tour, so we went for a quick walk through the gardens only to get whistled at by this nazi guard guy. and it wasnt as if we had been anywhere off limits.
another weird place we went to was this monastry, which (as you do) had a tiny pond and cage containing a couple of HUGE crocodiles. creepy! crocodiles are very scary hannah and i decided.
Ok.
GET THIS.
yesterday, when we were doing some last minute shopping we somehow managed to start talking with this guy in one of the shops and it turns out that he used to be the thai ambassador in Australia. so he pulls out this package and tells us how hes going back to Australia on the weekend to give it to John Howard as a present from the thai king!
he also told us some great stories about when he took the crown prince around australia.
Then we talk some more and he invites us to come to his swanky hotel tonight for drinks!!!!!
how random is that?!
so yeh, we are here filling in time before heading off to meet him.

well, our trip so far has been pretty quite, mainly due to the fact that I CANT FRICKIN TALK. so hannah and i have spent a lot of time nodding at each other and using hand signals.
i think i need to invest in a little whiteboard so i can write down what i want to say.
yesterday was eventful tho, because we went to the hospital to see a doctor. and praise the lord he gave me some MUCH stronger medication so hopefully now i will actually start getting better.
but waste of four days much on the other stuff.
so, yeh, i have spent a fair amount of time in the hotel room. but last night we got room service so that was fairly exciting.
we did go to a traditional thai house today, and we have been shopping a bit. the other night we went to a night market and went for a ride on the biggest ferris wheel you have ever seen!
there is so much food here, it is unbelievable. if i was able to eat i would be stuffing my face because honestly, there is stuff on every corner!
it has been quite fun venturing out to find dinner each night and we have visited some really nice little restaurants.
i should go, but hi to everyone and i hope you are all having fun!

(the actual movie screens at about 8.30 so if you can only come for a while feel free to come to either the picnic or the movie)
BYO picnic food/drinks/alcohol and rugs and blankets!!!
(and pillows, bean bags etc. and warm stuff. it could get cold!)

$5 movie day at Nova..... Lilian and I want to see Shortbus which is on at one. so feel free to come along to that or come and watch another film if its not your thing.
we're meeting at 12.30ish outside the box office.
THURSDAY:
Karaoke again!!! leanne can't come on thursdays normally but she is free this week!!! so tell everyone and come along this thursday for extreme karaoke!!!

FINALLY.
i finished my ecology assignment.
or rather, i've given up on my ecology assignment.
like everyone else, i appear to be perfecting my procrastinating skills.
there is far too much other stuff to be doing.

anyway, tomorrow i leave on a plane.
which i am excited about (plane food!)
but also nervous....
as i am flying by myself, i have to make my way to the airport, check in correctly and get onto the right plane.
i bet something goes wrong.
oh and emma, when i stop at brisbane for an hour, i will say hi from you.

well, it was the first day of semester and now that the excitement of seeing people again after the holidays and finding friends in classes has subsided, it pretty much feels as if i have never been away.
However, i do enjoy the first week as there is no pracs, and i pretty much finish by lunch every day. also, tomorrow all i have is prac so i get a day off!! woo!
so if anyone has breaks at coinciding times let me know!!!
